RUSSIA: Akado out of crisis

The group of companies Akado showed in 2010 revenue growth of 19% (10.6 billion rubles). On the results of the 1st quarter 2011 revenues totaled 2.5 billion rubles, an increase of 4% over the same period last year. Subscriber base grew for the year by an average of 8-10% depending on segments of the market (broadband and TV). This year, the operator intends to return to its pre-crisis plans for market expansion.

According to the analytical agency TelecomDaily, Akado takes up to 21% of the capital market of broadband access (29% belong to MTS (Comstar), 20% - to VimpelCom). In a TV segment Akado is the leader with a market share of 53%, followed by NTV-Plus and Comstar which account for 15%, then - VimpelCom with 6%.
