UZBEKISTAN: UNESCO has recognized TV Reporters of Uzbekistan as the best in Eastern Europe and CIS

At the international contest of children's shows in New York, conducted by UNESCO, TV Studio "Yangi Avlod" (Uzbek "UzNTT" network, which brings together about 30 private TV channels) was recognized as the best among the countries of Eastern Europe and CIS.

Note that 196 countries participated in this competition. Uzbekistan presented the video about contest of children's telethon held in March this year in Tashkent in celebration of international day of children's television and radio broadcasting, "the name of a happy childhood." This significant date is celebrated each year since April 1994, on the first Sunday of March at the initiative of UNICEF. On this day the MEDIA around the world focus their attention on programs for children and about children.

According to the organizers, Uzbek video won the award due to a high level and interesting content of television program that reflect the major changes in childhood education, health development, sport and culture of Uzbekistan.
